Jan. - Feb. 2009 Dear Florida Power Club Members: Enclosed is your new copy of the Florida Power Club Reporter for January & February 2009. The New Year is upon us. It is already the middle of January. Where has time gone…it will soon be the beautiful spring weather that we all really enjoy . We have some really terrific events coming up for the 2009 year. It is also the time of year when our dues are payable again. You will see a notice for dues and where to mail them online. The events for January are a new member/renewing member happy hour at Midtown Sundries on Friday, January 23rd. Then we will move toward a annual luncheon membership meeting on Saturday, February 28th . A lot of you have emailed to ask whether or not we will offer Busch Gardens again this year. My answer is a resounding YES! If the offer is available we will by all means do it. Also, this year – we are doing the Bahamas 3 day cruise from Port Canaveral. We already have 6 cabins booked and Barry informed me that he has had a lot of calls from interested members. If you haven’t booked yet – check out the offer it is fantastic. We are always looking for event coordinators to run upcoming events and remember that as an event coordinator you receive $25.00 off a future event. UNIVERSAL/ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE Tickets TICKET POLICY A Club member may purchase one ticket for him/herself, one guest and tickets for the member's dependent children under the age of 18, or two non-dependent children under the age of 18, at Club member's price. In the event the member cannot attend due to work or illness, the spouse may attend without the member. It is the Club's policy to hold all requests for tickets for two weeks before filling to allow for mail delivery. If the requests for tickets received during the first two weeks are more than we have available, it is our policy to hold a lottery of the ticket requests received during the first two weeks.
