May - June 2009 Dear Florida Power Club Members: Enclosed is your new copy of the Florida Power Club Reporter for May/June 2009 The year seems to be flying by as I cannot believe that we are already looking at June 2009 events. That means the year is half over. How can that be? We have some exciting events for these next couple of months. The Tampa Bay Rays game is sure to be a popular event as the initial response has been overwhelming. This is such a good deal it will be hard to pass up for most. On Friday, May 15th for less than $25.00 a member can get all u can eat food and a ticket to the baseball game. Also, the Corporate Night for Adventure Island is available again this year. The date for this will be Saturday, June 20th. Remember: you can turn in any one day ticket and upgrade to a fun pass. They will have pricing and details at the gate upon your arrival. There are 2 other events that you might want to mark your calendar to attend: Saturday, August 15th the Beach Bash at the Doubletree on North Redington Beach and the Holiday Party on Saturday, December 5th also returning to the Doubletree. The Doubletree has also provided a room block for the August 15th event – the group code is FLO – Gulf view rooms are $124 and regular rooms are $99.00. This group code is only good until July 15th. So make your reservations early. Please feel free to call or email us with your ideas for future events. A special thanks to our Event Coordinators. We are always looking for event coordinators to run upcoming events and remember that as an event coordinator you receive $25.00 off a future event. UNIVERSAL/ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE Tickets TICKET POLICY A Club member may purchase one ticket for him/herself, one guest and tickets for the member's dependent children under the age of 18, or two non-dependent children under the age of 18, at Club member's price. In the event the member cannot attend due to work or illness, the spouse may attend without the member. It is the Club's policy to hold all requests for tickets for two weeks before filling to allow for mail delivery. If the requests for tickets received during the first two weeks are more than we have available, it is our policy to hold a lottery of the ticket requests received during the first two weeks.
